Alfredo Fernandez, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon located in Daly City, CA

About Dr. Fernandez

Dr. Alfredo Fernandez is one of the senior members of our Orthopedic Team. He is a native of Cuba. His formative years were spent in Iowa. If asked about these years, he would likely say that he spent them “trudging” through snow and teaching the “locals” the game of baseball.

He attended college at Saint Peter’s Jesuit and went on to Temple Medical School in Philadelphia. He came to the Bay Area to do his internship and residency in the San Francisco Orthopedic Program. Since 1981, he has been practicing orthopedic surgery right here at Peninsula Orthopedic Associates.

He has since thrived with a wonderful orthopedic career, taking advantage of his fluency in Spanish. He offers the best in orthopedic care to his patients. Because of his vast experience, he is a wonderful resource of orthopedic knowledge to his colleagues and fellows as well as other medical health care professionals.
